Early Bird Birders provide customized birding adventures in all areas of Nepal. Ranging from the Hornbills in the lowland jungles of Chitwan (with Asian rhinos, elephants and tigers), through the Kathmandu and Pokhara mid-lands, or the montane birds in the Himalayas.  The schedule will match your time and preferences. Our bird tours can train novice birders or target species for experienced birders.

Our Team

Seejan Gyawali

Seejan was born in Bardiya in the buffer zone of Bardiya National Park. His passion for wildlife began an early age, especially with birds. He has been guiding since 2010 and completed his masters degree in Zoology (Wildlife and Ecology) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His thesis was on Birds migrations through the zhimalayas. The combination of academic and professional guide jobs has led him built excellent organizational skills that ensure you will have a  relaxing accomodation and travel within Nepal. He has been awarded as a best volunteer award in 2013 from Bird Conservation Nepal (Partner organization of Birdlife International), Conservation Award from Pokhara Bird Society in 2023. He is also a Gandaki Province coordinator of National Water Bird Count organized by Wetland International and Nepal Ornithological Union. Seejan has published scientific articles on Birds of Nepal. Since he has already worked for more than a decade in birding tourism, he has developed immense knowledge in birds and wildlife. He has also worked as a bird guide in international countries such as India, China, Thailand, Cambodia and Indonesia.

Sovit KC

Sovit is a student of business studies and he is in his last semester. He has been working with Birds Nepal since five years. He has done many surveys of birds mainly around Chitwan National Park. He has assisted many birdwatchers.

Chitra Gharti Magar

Chitra is a nature guide and he likes birding and photographing birds. He is also a biker. Besides bird-watching, he is also a great cook and is more than happy to give cooking classes of Nepali cuisines for the guests.

Manish Mahato

Manish is a nature guide and his passion is mainly in birds. He always carries a trekking bag which will always have his camera and binoculars. During leisure time, he is always birding or photographing birds.
